In the making of this video there was a technical problem with the live sound recording but switching of the 'wind noise' filter off rectified the problem - doh!

Perhaps Sophie could spend sometime coaching the Dancemania staff on speaking to camera so that in future videos they don't look so desparate to get out of shot.

Whilst Dancemania has had their products perform at the Royal Albert Hall before nothing had prepared them for this particular performance.
A facinating story of how the BBC Concert Orchestra devised an interesting use for Dancemania's own label White Low Heel Canvas Tap Shoe and added a pazazzie showbiz feel to a performance in the BBC's PROMS.
With photographs and video supplied by Alasdair Malloy, the principal percussionist with the BBC Concert Orchestra, and a sample captured from the live performance this blog post captures the excitement of preparing for a big performance at one of the World's great performance venues.

Well, here is a veritable smorgasbord of gross pictures of a poor toe that has been broken (not deliberately) and is going to loose its nail.
The post may give some people in a similar situation some comfort as it gives a daily account of what to expect and some advice on what can be done to allieviate the problems associated with a broken toe.
It is a fact that dancers and gymnasts frequently stub their toes as they often perform bare-footed, or if they wear shoes they are usually thin and offer no protection from impact.
These people cannot afford to veg-out whilst their foot gets better so they may take heart from the exercise advice given here.

Yesterday was the UK's second Armed Forces day and the country saw dozens of special events put on to celebrate the magnificent job that service men & women, past & present have done in protecting the UK & it's interests. James went to the Tank Fest event at the Bovington tank museum in the scorching sun and had a whale of a time.
Our troops can find themselves anywhere in the World at a moment’s notice, and as a consequence of the work they do have to remain highly mobile, rarely staying in one place for too long. This becomes a major problem when sending mail to them as you can never be too sure where to address it. Thankfully this is taken care of by the British Forces Post Office (BFPO), which has a long tradition of getting post to the addressee.
But a big problem with using the BFPO is that outside of the military’s extended family few people know how to use the BFPO. Worse still few businesses offer a delivery service via BFPO, which I believe should be part of the UK’s covenant with its Armed Forces.
In that respect Dancemania dancewear is doing its bit by offering a shipping method through the BFPO, and an explanation of how to place an order for BFPO delivery is given in Dancemania’s blog.

Dancemania has such a large warehouse that it is sometimes possible to lose an entire truck load of dancewear, and that is exactly what happened sometime in the past because we have recently stumbled upon a massive stock of Leo's Dancewear leotards that have not yet been on the website.
Some are now discontinued and so their price have been lowered to reflect this, so are old designs but all are fabulous quality and not at all common in dance classes in the UK.
Firstly we have the Leo's Contrast Halterneck Leotard, which is available in eye catching black with pink piping or stylish cappuccino with pink piping. This leotard is fabulous to wear and is so unusual as to make the wearer stand out in a crowd.
Then we have Leo's navy tank leotard at £15, so cheap you've got to want to snap up a couple before they all go. Find this leotard and many other give-a-ways in our Sale.
For those ballerinas that like to accessorise we have Leo's Pop Art Ballerina T-shirt in cool cotton with a hot motif.
A bit weird this but we have a pile of Leo's Halterneck Leotards but all in Large Adult size. Never mind, they are quality leotards in a fabulous design.

Neon Clothing & Dancewear
The latest craze crossing the UK among party goers is the Neon Party, where the dress code is strictly anything neon! In fact, the more outrageous the neon clothing the better and the clothing is nothing without the accessories so it is important to cram into as much neon as your legs can carry.At Dancemania we have a large selection of neon clothing and accessories and to help you find them we have put together a web page with a sample selection for you to click on and explore.
If you don't feel comfortable wearing the full neon outfit then as an absolute minimum you must wear neon legwarmers, or neon ankle warmers and neon wrist warmers, they are a no-option must have.

New large warehouse and distribution centre
Hello again.
Life at Dancemania is never dull, but it is always busy. In fact the reason I get to write to you so infrequently is because there is always something exciting that needs to be done right now. lately I've been involved with planning for our new facility - it's a warehouse and distribution centre combined in a wonderfully large unit not far from our Poole showroom.
This new warehouse will simply swallow up 100's of 1000's of dancewear and gymnastics products which means things being out of stock on our web site will be a thing of the past. Also, we are installing a set up which will allow a dedicated team of pickers and buyers to service your order and send it out in record time.
We have now set up a business development team that will take enquiries from resellers, clubs, schools, colleges, theatres....anyone in fact who wishes to by in bulk. To help them with their dancewear and gymnastic clothing needs we have set up a new web site www.dancewear-wholesale.co.uk. In time resellers with an account will be able to buy on-line in bulk from this web site, but in the meantime they need to use the information on the contact details page at http://www.dancewear-wholesale.co.uk/contact.html
By the by, just to let you know that we will be revamping www.Dancemania.biz in the near future to help you find things easier and also to provide you with more up front information about the products you are looking at. By September we hope to have significantly increased the number of products on-line....I guess I won't be having a summer holiday after all.

The latest ladies gymnastic leotards from The Zone are now in stock.

We have taken delivery of the new spring 2008 The Zone gymnastic leotards, shorts and scrunchies and as ever they are very special.
The zone have introduced five new designs Cameo, Tiffany, Delta, Truffle and Sprite as well as adding new colours to Ramana, Arabian, Sonata and Salto leotards. Also we have the smooth velour shorts in new colours Lilac and Aqua.
The Cameo range is of a Kingfisher colour, the Tiffany is an Aqua colour, Delta is a cerise and blue combination, Truffle is Lilaac and Sprite is a raspberry combination.

New Roch Valley dance shoes have now been added to Dancemania's web site
Hello fellow performers!
I want to draw your attention to the new Roch Valley dance shoes that have just been added to www.Dancemania.biz.
Firstly, we have now added Brigadoons, Irish/Scottish dance shoes here www.dancemania.biz/Brigadoons-Scottish-Irish-dance-shoe-p-7367.html. With leather uppers and a ballet suede sole they are of the high quality one would expect from Roch Valley.

Ballet Pointe Shoes

We at Dancemania have always had the view that our web site at www.dancemania.biz should have the widest choice of dancewear available for you to buy on-line. This we will always strive to do even though it is a constant, never ending job because as we finish adding one set of new clothing or shoes we discover another exciting range that we just have to let you know about.
